Daryl Hall & John Oates, commonly referred to as Hall&Oates, are an American Pop-Rock duo, formed in 1970, in Philadelphia.
Daryl Hall is generally the lead vocalist, while John Oates primarily plays electric guitar and provides backing vocals.
The two write most of the songs they perform and achieved their greatest fame from the mid-1970s to the mid-1980s, with a fusion of Rock&Roll and Rhythm&Blues.
Hall and Oates have released 18 albums and 34 hit-singles, selling an estimated 40 million records.

In summer 1981, They released their 10th album, “Private Eyes”: the record featured 2 number one hits, “Private Eyes” and “I Can’t Go for That (No Can Do)“, that also spent 1 week at the top of the R&B chart, a rare achievement for a “White” act.
